Robert and Sarah Schmall tie the knot at the Mauna Lani Resort with many family and friends.  Very joyous and upbeat including blowing of the Pu and Oli chant.

A blessing of "Bike Works" in Kailua Kona followed their  first annual 5-K, 10-K and Keiki running races.  Penei starts the ceremony by blowing the Pu and chanting the Oli.  I lead the welcome message, lava rock and Ti leaf blessing and prayer.  Penei continues with the blessing chant followed by entrance into the shop through the Maile lei that had been draped across the door.  Many supporters used Ti leaves to sprinkle salt water throughout the store taken from Koa wood bowls.  Grant and Janet concluded the ceremony with gracious words and fine food.

Kukio Beach at Kaupulehu continues to impress us with beautiful sand, soft colors of sunset and easy access.  Penei led the intimate and joyful ceremony for John and Shelley with two of their friends.

Bought a new digital camera, a Minolta DiMAGE G500 5.0 Mega Pixels ~ I'm not the photographer - just getting a few mementoes for the Web Log.

Penei came back  from performing the wedding for William and Lisa raving about a new location in Kona at 77-179 Kekai Place.  Heart-shaped pool with sweeping views of the coastline looking straight into the setting sun.  I haven't seen it yet but will be up to take pictures soon and feature it on our site.  Details to come.

Congratulations to Mark and Kim from Amador, CA. on their sunset wedding.  Light rain before the ceremony with clear skies through sunset.  The "wai" in Hawaii means water.  "Waiwai" means double water or wealthy, so it's taken to be a double blessing to have rain at the wedding (I only mention this of course if it rains, which it hardly ever does, right?) Actually, we very rarely have to move location because of rain.

The Grand Staircase wedding was spectacular. Congratulations to Dr. Brent and Tarynne.

Yikes, our digital camera broke! No quick photos.

Congratulations to our international couple, Julian and Narisa, from London, England.  The Arrowhead at the Mauna Lani served as the setting for an intimate ceremony.  Julian's father, pastor of a Calvary Chapel congregation in Florida, offered the prayer of blessing and 1 Corinthians 13 scripture reading.

Sheldon and Kimberly were married on top of the cliffs at Pu'uhonua O Honaunau!  Spectacular view and sunset.

Kikaua Point was the stunning site for the wedding of Ron and Rene.

Congratulations to Kyle and Christine on their wedding.  Kyle and I both share a background from Litchfield County, Connecticut, with time living in Vermont.

Penei and I blessed a water-tower construction site with a ceremony that included the Pu, Ti, salt water, Oli chant, prayer, sage, procession and closing circle. An Imu pig feast followed.

I just posted a video clip of the Hula dancers we use at wedding ceremonies and receptions.

Penei and I perform the 11 A.M. wedding of Tatsuo and Tomoko at Saint Peters Church on Alii Drive in Keauhou.  It included a rose-petal flower shower, photos, video and toast.

Penei performs the Hilton wedding of Takao Fukazawa and Sawako Horii.

Aug. 9, 2004
Jeff and Theresa enjoy a sunset wedding on the beach at The Fairmont Orchid.  Penei and I both performed the ceremony with Charlie West as photographer.  He took almost 100 digital pictures and burned them onto a CD for immediate "turn over" to the couple.

Just posted a web-video clip for the "Destination Wedding" of Chris and Lyna.  It aired four times in July on the Food Network and Fine Living channels.  Penei starts with the blowing of the Pu followed by the ceremony and interview with Dard.

Also posted the clip of Penei skydiving!  Dard, on his July 25th birthday (55 Years), makes cameo appearance with a distant landing at the end of the video.

Penei marries Brian and Ligaya in the morning on Beach 69, North of Puako.

Michael and Laura
Michael and Laura were married on Hapuna Beach.  Lovely sunset.  They arrived on the Big Island from Kuai somewhat stressed because of having missed their first flight (they went back for the rings).  By the time we got out to the site everyone settled in.  It was beautiful.  Heather was the photographer.  She turns the film over to the couple directly so I take just a few snapshots with my digital. As we walked back to the Hapuna Prince Hotel, Mike and Laura went for a stroll down the beach.

Mahalo for sending us your favorite pictures.  It brings back the wonderful memory and helps future couples plan for their wedding.  Aloha, Rev. Dard
