Aloha Penei, Thank you so much for helping us celebrate our wedding vow renewal.  It was a moving and invigorating experience and one that will make us misty eyed for years to come.  You have a very special gift and we are so glad we were able benefit from it.  Please also pass on our thanks to Heather - her photos were truly wonderful. As promised we've attached two photos - one from our original wedding ceremony in a very cold Richmond on 13 Dec 1986 (just outside London) and two from your ceremony.  What a contrast! Mahalo! Congratulations to Heather and Ward married at sunset on  Kukio Beach  by Rev. Penei.  Blessings also to Josh and Anna married by Rev. Dard at the Four Seasons' Palm Grove.

After years of triathlon training and swimming with Kona Aquatics under coach Steve Borowski, Scott Franklin finally wins first prize by tying the knot with Lori Lebruska at a sunrise wedding on Hapuna Beach.  What a contrast to last night on Mauna Kea! Beautiful weather and bright sun. This is more like it!

4:59 P.M. ~ 36 degrees. 50 MPH winds.  Windchill: 18 degrees on the Summit of Mauna Kea.  This year's award for Adventure Weddings goes to Derek and Judy Rose from Belton, Texas!  Penei blew the Pu and chanted. Dard blesses the leis and rings as wind blew out water from the Koa bowl. Were those tears of joy  freezing on Judy's face?  Watching the sun set in the clouds below us was truly spectacular. A rainbow appeared during the pronunciation of husband and wife.

11:10 A.M:  We look forward to this evening with Judy and Derek for an Adventure Wedding at the summit of Mauna Kea. So far all looks good from the live web cam.                    Live Web Cam

Congratulations to Chris and Diane Tidd from the staff at the Hilton and to family and friends gathered from around the world.

Aloha Dard,

Before we fly away tomorrow, I thought I would take a few moments to express our thanks to you for officiating at our wedding.

We know how many weddings you perform each month ('cos you told us) but we want you to know that the words you spoke at our ceremony were like the VERY FIRST time you had ever said them. They were totally appropriate for us, the location, the guests...everything.

It was a great pleasure to meet you, to know some of your story, like you now know some of ours............you were the PERFECT person for our ceremony and......we thank you.

We wish you and your new wife every happiness and, upon our return, we hope that we can meet again.
