Johm Barkley Shirley

When I leave you, don't weep for me.
Pass the wine around and remember
How my laughing pleased you.
Look at one another, smiling,
And don't forget about touching.
Sing the songs that I loved best
And dance one time all together.
As for me, I'll be off, running
Somewhere on the beach, and I'll fly
To the top of the tree I always meant to climb.
When you're ready, I'll be there -
Waiting for you.
Take your time.

September 6, 1957 - October 1, 1998

Please remember John as he was;   living his life to the fullest.
If he was surfing, he had to catch one more wave;
If he was biking, he had to climb one more hill;
If he was playing tennis, he had to play one more match.
He couldn't get enough.
John made time, though, to be the best dad and husband.
He was a wonderful brother, son, uncle, and friend.
We will all miss him very much.
