No April Fool. The "Ice is out". Come swimming tomorrow. Love - Dad
Family Lore
One hot summer afternoon, sipping Mint Julips through silver straws in crushed ice on the porch overlooking Wononscopomuc, Rod and his brother Hal asked each other, "If the 'Ice Was In', how much would there be and how many ice cold drinks could be made?"
My understanding is that with Rod's many years of lake calculations and Hal's knowledge of ice density in each Mint Julip, they came up with the figure.
